Mountain Bike Whangarei was formed in 2005 to promote the sport in Northland. We started off with a downhill and freeride focus, but we are now aiming to promote biking in all its variants. A big part of our club's goals is to develop the trail network in Whangarei. We are presently working on a new trails on Parihaka. We welcome new members, and joining the club is the best way to support the scene!

Weekly rides:
Sunday Morning DH Ride and Build.
Meet at 10am at Parahaki for the regular club build. We are currently in the process of rebuilding the trail network on Parihaka, and this is your chance to get involved. Bring a shovel and help us to move some dirt! Check here for more details.

Parihaka Trails.
Parihaka is the scene of the most recent developments. With the support of the Whangarei District Council, we are building a number of trails and other riding features in the recently logged area on Parihaka reserve. Check here for location maps, details, and pictures of the trails.
